TuneUp has various "Can't Connect" errors.
If you're seeing a black window with a spinning white circle The swirly icon on the black background can come up for a number of reasons: - Firewalls - Proxies - Bad XML file Please try temporarily disabling any firewalls (including the Windows or OSX built-in firewalls) to see if that resolves the issue. Same applies to proxies - please try connecting directly to the internet to see if that resolves the issue. If neither of the above apply (or don't work) - please quit out of TuneUp then save the file attached to this post (TuneUpAppSettings.xml) For a Mac: Copy the TuneUpAppSettings.xml file to: Home Folder > Library > Preferences > TuneUpMediaPreferences For a PC: Open "My Computer" (or just "Computer" if you're on Vista) and type %appdata% into the address bar. Click on the "TuneUpMedia" Folder and replace your existing "TuneUpAppSettings" file with the one attached to this email (the one that's now on your Desktop). Make sure to replace the existing file. The issue should be resolved after restarting TuneUp. If you're still experiencing the issue, please contact support and mention you've already completed this troubleshooting step. |
